Complex Care - Tube Feeding

A feeding tube is a thin, flexible catheter inserted into the stomach and stitched in place to provide food and fluids to residents who are otherwise unable to receive nourishment. Placement is performed surgically under general or local anesthesia.

Our nursing staff is trained in maintaining the tube insertion site and administering supplements and medications through the tube. A registered dietician monitors nutritional and caloric intake and recommends adjustments based on consumption, tolerance, and weight.
